Therefore, all gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. In addition to tax-deductible donations, the Ventura Hillsides Conservancy accepts other gifts. Here are some other ways you can donate: In-kind Gifts This includes equipment, furniture and materials necessary for the successful operations of the Conservancy. Please see our wish list page on the Web site to see how you can help. Gifts of Financial Assets Financial assets can include cash, stock, mutual funds or life insurance policies. Gifts of Real Estate A donation of land to the Conservancy can result in significant tax benefits and the transaction is usually easier to complete than selling the land. We have professionals who will work with you to complete the transaction. Real estate that has little or no open space value will be sold, so the Conservancy can use the gift to purchase and protect other open space lands. Open space lands will be protected through the land stewardship program.
