The Ventura Hillsides Conservancy presented the second in its series of educational outreach events about Ventura’s open spaces. “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” was organized for all ages, with a biologist-guided hike through the park's hillside trails, displays of local indigenous plants and wild life, a presentation by the Ojai Raptor Center, craft projects and special guest actor Jon Cypher who re-told Ovid's Roman myth Philemen and Baucius – a tale of kindness and everlasting love symbolized by two trees.

The beautiful flyer was designed by local artist Alicia Carman. See to the right >
