The Ventura Hillsides Conservancy (VHC) is celebrating it's Fifth Year Anniversary (2003-2008) this year! Here are some of the highlights from the Spring 2008 edition of the Outlook: the story about how VHC received its first donation of land, a reprint of the Ventura County Star article of March 19 "Council Backs Conservancy Goal of Land Preservation" by Kevin Clerici, news about the local collaborative effort to create the Ventura River Parkway, a brief history of Ventura's Two Trees landmark in "Keeping Two Trees" by Gary Bednorz, what you can do if you spot a native mountain lion (Felis concolor) by Jamie King, an introduction to our new VHC Program Coordinator Jenise Wagar, information about volunteer opportunities and much more!

VHC Outlook Newsletter Fall 2007
Fall 2007:
The Fall 2007 issue is packed with information. It provides an in-depth look at two members of the Conservancy: Executive Director Barbara Harison and volunteer Web Master Angela Kirwin. Also featured is a re-cap of the popular Ventura Hillsides Music Festival concert on September 30, 2007. The concert tickets sold out in 15 minutes! Finally, you can get the low-down on where to purchase the Conservancy's chic and sustainably made merchandise items (at periodic Saturday Farmer's Markets – please check the Events page for upcoming dates) and ongoing volunteer opportunities.
